About BlackIntel

Welcome to BlackIntel, home of the BlackIntel servers, coders and ofcourse clan. Our goal is to provide a nice place to stay and hang around for everyone. This is also a place where serverowners can get support on our software, or can show their appreciation ;). As you can see on the project page we have a couple of coding projects running regarding Renegade, and we hope you like them.

We have a few servers running our mods, you can find more info about these at the servers page. This is also the place where you can find some other information about our servers. Like who's ingame and what the current playercount is.

We've recently become partners of BHS, this in order to get our fixes better known and well spread. Another thing we might be able to do is help with the development of Renguard 1.04. From what we've heard that is nearing it's final stages, but it still needs a lot of work.

Brenbot problems resolved

The problem with brenbot restarting whenever a player left has been resolved. It apparently was a conflict between the !rtc plugin and the version of brenbot we were using.

Short forum downtime

After a reboot our forum database suddenly was not working. We don't really know what caused this to happen, but there was some error in the database login info. We have corrected the problem now though, the forums should be workinng again. :)

Problems mostly solved

The problems we had due to the failing disk have mostly been resolved. Due to another problem with the backup exclusion rules we have lost all folders named "data". Unfortunately the MySQL database and several of our server folders had this common name, resulting in the loss of our forum data and ingame server ranks. We also lost the subversion repository we use for versioning our code, which is very unfortunate as well since we can not go back in our code history now. The faulty backup exclusion rules have been fixed so we should not get the same problems again.

Due to the incomplete backups it took quite some time for us to resolve the problems. Everything should now be running again though. The only thing that needs doing now is improving the forum skin.

If there is anything left that is not functioning correctly, please report.

Server downtime

First: sorry for the long time no updates.

Second: SERVER CRASH
Ok, as you might have noticed, our website has been down since either 12am this morning or 6 am this morning. This is related to one of the SCSI disks failing. It has probably died.
At this very moment we're working really hard to get our renegade servers backup. We're trying to recover everything, but are unsure if we can get everything restored. We might have a corupted backup, as we seem to have problems with the MYSQL database.

We'll keep you updated.
